dyke drama: the musical

so victoria and i had our grand glit clit debut at the open cafe and it was magic. for months to come people will be picking glitter off of themselves and the floor and the sink and the couch and the chairs and the bar and the tables and thinking of those crazy american girls who came and confused and delighted them (or at least that's my prediction :)

we performed beyonce's diva (we sorely missed the other members of dive, but i think we repped yall pretty well)



i performed my very own spoken word for the very first time. it was awesome, though i am a little bit embarassed that it took coming to slovenia to get me on a stage.


victoria read a super sweet love letter to her new girlfriend, ljubljana.


and then came dyke drama: the musical, a short mamma mia type performance featuring the music of team gina (straight boys, butch/femme, and wife swapping). team gina now has a pretty sizeable following in slovenia. if you don't know them, check out their myspace (www.myspace.com/teamgina) it was hilarious how well the lezzie culture translated to this context.



then we did some radical cheerleading, resurrected from the recent ywc protests, in response to the homophobes who attacked the cafe before pride



and the grand finale was some high femme drag / burlesque to lily allen's "fuck you", also dedicated to the attackers.
